DRACULA

Just in case you don't know the story... Jonathon Harker is the clerk of an English solicitor. He travels to Castle Dracula in Transylvania in order to finalise the purchase of Carfax, the Count’s house near the lunatic asylum in Purfleet, Essex.

One evening, Harker wanders around the castle and encounters three seductive vampiresses. His suspicions regarding his host are confirmed. He is imprisoned in the castle and Dracula sets off for England with a consignment of wooden boxes filled with earth from the family graveyard.

Under cover of a torrential storm, the count arrives at Whitby harbour. During the journey, he has killed the entire crew of the ship. Dracula inflicts his powers on Lucy Westenra, close friend of Harker’s fiancée, Mina Murray.

Lucy’s three suitors, Arthur Holmwood, Dr Seward and Quincy Morris, try desperately to protect her but she is turned into one of the undead - a vampire. Their efforts are masterminded by the Professor Van Helsing. Jonathon joins them when he eventually manages to escape from Castle Dracula.

Lucy haunts the area of Hampstead Heath, preying on young children but her reign is ended when Arthur Holmwood drives a stake through her heart.

Dracula preys on Mina Harker and the four men seek to find and defile his various earthly coffins with holy water.

Dracula is aware that the vampire hunters are close on his tail and a dramatic chase commences as Dracula flees to his castle in Transylvania......
